A MODERN EXTENSION MADE THIS LARGE RESIDENCE EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE

Situated near the famous Hare and Hounds pub in Lansdown, this home already boasted a sizeable private residence, comprised of old cottages of varying vintage that had been amalgamated over the years. The new extension by Carter Hughes Davies would provide further luxurious accommodation including a kitchen, breakfast and living room area on the ground floor, with a new master bedroom with en suite above. It's the second property you can see in the video above.

We carried out all the necessary surveys, and drew up a feasibility study and scheme design for the extension. A building regulations design was submitted and approved, and planning permission was gained from the local council. During the construction, Carter Hughes Davies project management service kicked into action, and we carried out site inspections, managed the contractors and calculated monthly valuations.

Brilliant property extension

The extension was designed to blend in with the existing architecture, but also to add a new dimension to the property and the contrast between the extension the older cottage segments of the building creates an interesting, staggered effect. The large windowed doors at the back provide a panoramic view overlooking the eastern side of Bath. Who wouldn't want to live here?
